Hi, I am Jessica

Photography started for me in 2016 with a gift and a newborn. After being given my first camera, I spent my days documenting every tiny detail of my son, the way his tiny toes stuck through his favorite knitted blanket, the tiny fingernails on his hands as I held them with my own, the way his blue eyes lit up and you could feel the pure joy emanating from him. His presence was pure magic, and I wanted to remember it all. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a deep-seated passion, and I was filled with a hope to give to others what had been given to me. An ability to time travel back to the moments we don't want to forget. A legacy of preserved memories.

Freckled Fern is a reflection of that mission. I don't just take photos, I document stories. I am here to tell your story through imagery that feels as honest as it does beautiful.
